… And we’re back
by Tim Malbon on 18 September 2008Yesterday evening we made a new release of the Metrotwin beta and are planning to invite about 4,000 people over the next few days – a process that has already started. We’re doing this in a fairly controlled and deliberate way as we gear the application up for a full public beta some time towards the end of this month. It’s like turning on a very big tap.
We really just wanted to say “thank you” to all our content partners, and all the people who have helped us iron out the front end and re-plot our course through all the various workshops we’ve been holding. The content network is growing and we’ve met some really exciting people over the last few weeks in London including fashion blog weebirdy.com, mothersontheverge.com, food bloggers londonelicious.com and londoneater.com, and online takeaway aggregator hungryhouse.co.uk. We’ve also confirmed both Visit London and NYC Visit as partners, and we’ve been getting lots of new lists from our pals in The Big ‘A’, like DandyandWit.com, FoodistColony and NotForTourists. We’re meeting new partners all the time – both here and in NYC.
It’s been a real privilege to meet all these bloggers and online communities and we look forward to adding new partners to the network and building up the service. Get in touch if you’re writing a blog in New York or London, or if you’re curating a niche online community in either city. We’d like to hear from you.
