The legendary CMJ Music Marathon has begun here in New York City, which, according to the official website, is the “largest and longest-running music industry event of its kind,” bringing music fans and professionals together through live events and interactive media.  The marathon is a wonderwheel of new music, art, film, rising local stars, and more music than humanly possible to take in.  Starting at noon each day of the fest, venues across the city showcase marathons of bands strumming their stuff, lectures on the biz, and cinematic screenings.  You have no excuse to be bored for the next 4 Days.
