Day of the Dead
by Anya Driscoll on 2 November 2009Although this is informally what I call January 1st, the day of inevitable hangover after New Years celebrations, the actual Dia de los Muertos, the Mexican festival of the dead occurs on the 1st (All Saints Day) and 2nd November (All Souls Day)
Okay, so there isn’t a Mexico City Metrotwin (yet!) but in London the British Museum has a whole series of events happening, as does the Queens Museum of Art, and we love the unusual, the quirky and the downright different here at Metrotwin, and Dia de los Muertos ticks all those boxes plus gives us the chance to compile the sites best Mexican restaurants and post some great photos of papier mache skeletons.
